Aldersbrook School and Leyton Orient Partnership of Associated Schools Scheme (LOPASS)
Aldersbrook have teamed up with our local professional football club who are committed to improving the educational attainment and life skills of young people within our community; offering player visits, sports coaching, educational courses, match day tickets, stadium visits and interschool sports competitions.
Leyton Orient work with around 90 primary and secondary schools within the local area, but Aldersbrook are one of only eight schools chosen by the club to be LOPASS members. This means we will feature as a LOPASS school at one of the home league 1 matches including; featuring in the match day programme, appearing on the club website and taking part in club activities. Team players will visit the school, along with the club mascot Theo. The Orient have had the best opening to a league season in their history winning all 5 league matches we can become part of a 50/50 ticket scheme - more to follow on this.

International Links - China
Aldersbrook runs an exchange programme with a Chinese School. Ten children from Year 5 travelled to Kunming in China. In that time they visited a range of different schools and settings and had amazing opportunities to lean calligraphy, tai chi, pottery, dance and even how to play the 'guzheng' musical instrument. The staff were amazed at how easily the pupils communicated and played with their Chinese buddies and it was an amazing experience for all!
