Year 2 had a fantastic day at the Great Fire of London workshop, led by 'History of the Page.' Thanks to great planning by our teachers and parents, our pupils enjoyed learning about history in a fun and interactive way. We're really thankful to everyone who helped make this day fun and immersive for every child in Year 2.

Year 4 embarked on a captivating voyage through history during their visit to the Roman amphitheatre at Guildhall Gallery. Guided by a knowledgeable archaeologist, they delved into the past, examining intriguing artefacts and absorbing the secrets of Roman Britain. Their day was enriched with immersive drama, allowing them to step into the shoes of gladiators and emperors. It was a hands-on learning experience that transported them to a world of epic battles and grand spectacles, leaving them with a deeper understanding of the fascinating Roman era.

On a memorable day at Aldersbrook, staff and parents orchestrated an unforgettable surprise for Mr. Hughes as he prepares to bid farewell in the next few weeks. The surprise involved a visit from superstar Jason Donovan! The day was filled with excitement, singing, joy and even tears, as the school community came together to create an unforgettable farewell experience for the irreplaceable Mr. Hughes.
The surprise visit from Jason Donovan undoubtedly left a lasting impression on him. We hope that this day will be etched in his memory forever. The uncanny resemblance between Jason Donovan and Mr. Hughes added an extra layer of fun and fanfare, making it a standout memory for everyone who finally witnessed the two Australian superstars standing side by side!
The event was a collective effort, with appreciation extended to all staff and parents who played a crucial role in making this surprise possible, especially Miss Crouch. It is a day being hailed as possibly the most memorable in Aldersbrook Primary School history. The emotions, the surprises and the community spirit demonstrated will continue to be cherished, symbolising our love and appreciation for a headteacher that has changed the lives of countless people. Pupils in Years 5 and 6 recently had the enriching opportunity to visit The Wallace Collection, where they honed their portrait skills. The experience was both educational and inspiring, providing our pupils with a hands-on encounter with art that fostered creativity and a deeper understanding of portraiture. This visit contributed to our pupils' artistic development, making it a memorable and valuable experience for all involved. Thank you to Mrs Alveranga for organising this educational visit.
We are delighted to share the resounding success of the Year 4 Cornet Concert that took place today. Our young musicians showcased their impressive progress and newfound skills on the cornet, delivering a performance that filled the room with musical joy. A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Wilcox and Mr. Pickering from the Redbridge Music Service for their invaluable support and guidance throughout this musical journey.
The '2 Johns' online safety workshops were an eye-opening experience today for both children and staff. Their insights into navigating social media have been invaluable. It has made us reflect on our current culture around online safety and how we can strengthen it moving forward.
Year 3 recently visited the Science Museum, where they participated in the captivating "Feel the Force" workshop. Immersed in the world of magnets and forces, the workshop provided a hands-on experience that ignited their curiosity.
