Admissions for Nursery

We are pleased that you are considering Aldersbrook Primary School as an option for your child’s education. You are very welcome to make an appointment to visit our school and see for yourself the exciting learning and interactive environment. Visits to the school can be arranged by contacting the school’s main office. Our Parent Support Adviser (PSA) usually leads tours of the school and is able to answer any questions you may have.

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) at Aldersbrook Primary School is for children aged three to five and covers the early years of their education. Aldersbrook Primary school was the first maintained school in London to gain accredited status as a Montessori School. We work on providing an integrated EYFS and Montessori experience for children based on their learning, individual needs and interests.

Applications can be made when your child is 2 1/2 years old. Your details will be kept in file for the next intake. The school only has one intake in September.

The first round of offers will be made in May. Parents will be notified as to whether their child has a place. Applications after this date are still welcome.

A place in our Nursery does not guarantee an automatic place in our Reception class.  Parents have to apply via the local authority for admission for a place in Aldersbrook Reception class.

Aldersbrook is a 3-form entry (30 pupils per class) primary school with a 49 place Nursery.  We offer a range of options for our Nursery children, including 30 hour funded places:

Nursery- 30 hours (8.30am-3.30pm) 30 hours is only available for families that are eligible using the code and extended hours can be requested by paying a fee.

If you would like to register your child, could you please send a copy of your child's birth certificate or passport together with the Nursery Registration Form.
