If your child needs to take medication during the school day, please take note of the following:

• We do not permit children to keep medication on them during the day
• The school will administer medication to children one time per day. Please complete the form attached below and return it to the school office in person or via email to admin.aldersbrook@redbridge.gov.uk
• Medication should be in the original container, clearly state the name of the medication, have clear instructions for use, and should be labelled as prescribed to your child with their name on it
• We keep medication given to the school in a locked room during the day
• We have a fridge for medication that needs to be kept refrigerated
• We will happily take note of requests for medication to be taken before or after eating food
• If you need to take medication home at the end of the day, please come to the school office where this will be accommodated. Please return medication the next day so it can be administered to your child

If this does not meet your needs; if your child needs to take medication more than once during the school day; if your child has an epipen or otherwise has more complex daily medical needs, please talk to the school office.
